The EVPL Kicks Off a Summer of Fun with Books, Activities & Prizes

Summer is about to get a whole lot more exciting, thanks to the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library’s “Our Summer: Building Together” celebration!

A Summer of Free Events and Community Fun

Whether you’ve been reading your whole life or just now cracking the books, EVPL is rolling out a season packed with free events, community spirit, and of course, plenty of reading fun for all ages.

EVPL Summer Celebration Kick-Off Party

The 2025 summer celebration kicks off on Saturday, May 25^th, at the EVPL Central location. The party is between 11am-2pm and features community organizations, hands-on activities, and giveaways. Plus, it’s your chance to get a head start on summer reading and learn all about this year’s exciting theme.

“Our Summer: Building Together” isn’t just about flipping pages - it’s about connecting with your community, building friendships, and discovering new things. Throughout the summer, EVPL locations across the area will host events that bring people together in creative and inspiring ways.
