Where to Find Incredible Scrap Metal Transformers Sculptures in Indiana
If you grew up in the ‘80s or ‘90s, there’s a really good chance one show had you completely hooked the second it hit your TV – I’m talking about TRANSFORMERS!
For me, it all started back in September of 1984 – right after my 9th birthday – when I was introduced to a world that instantly took over my imagination. Suddenly, it was all about the heroic Optimus Prime and his Autobots battling the evil Decepticons led by Megatron. And let’s be honest – it wasn’t just the show. Those toys were absolute must-haves!
Fast forward a couple of decades to 2007, when the first Transformers movie hit theaters and brought all that nostalgia roaring back to life. Seeing those “robots in disguise” on the big screen was incredible - and yeah, Megan Fox didn’t hurt either. It definitely made a lot of us feel like kids again – and maybe wish we could have our own Transformer parked in the driveway.
Well, believe it or not, that dream is kind of a reality here in Indiana.
Indiana Company Brings Transformers To Life
A company called Metal Source has taken things to the next level by creating massive, real-life Transformers sculptures made entirely out of scrap metal. And these aren’t small displays – they’re HUGE.

The best thing about these ridiculously creative works of art is that you can actually go see them in person at several locations across the Hoosier state. Each site features a different fan-favorite character:
Bumblebee - 1750 Mill St, Wabash, IN
Optimus Prime - 7870 N. US-27, Decatur, IN
Megatron - 116 E. 9th St., Peru, IN
Hound - 1605 Riverfork Drive, Huntington, IN
Brawl - 904 Summit Lane, Bedford, IN
And this Marvelous Surprise - 1945 S. Wabash St., Wabash, IN
So if you’re looking for a fun road trip idea - especially one that hits that nostalgic sweet spot - this is it. No trip to Cybertron required. Just gas up the car, maybe bring the kids (or your fellow ‘80s kids), and go see these incredible creations for yourself.
