Posey County Animal Shelter Set to Host Jordan’s Way National Tour Fundraiser

Newlife Rescue & Adoption is gearing up for an exciting event that will raise money for homeless animals in a very unique way.

On Thursday, September 5th, from 6 PM to 9 PM, the Jordan’s Way National Tour will be live in Posey County, raising funds and awareness for homeless pets in the area. I have agreed to help out in any way that I can because I adopted both of my pups from PC Pound Puppies/New Life Rescue.

Newlife Rescue & Adoption: A United Front for Posey County Animals

Newlife Rescue & Adoption was formed in 2022 through the merger of two dedicated local groups, Posey Humane Society and PC Pound Puppies. With nearly 40 years of combined experience, this powerful partnership continues to champion the cause of companion animals in Posey County and surrounding areas.

The organization is committed to ensuring that every animal receives proper care, including food, water, shelter, and medical attention. Since its inception, Newlife Rescue & Adoption has facilitated thousands of adoptions, provided spaying and neutering services, and even reunited lost pets with their owners.

A New Shelter for a Brighter Future

Currently, Newlife Rescue & Adoption is fundraising to build a new animal shelter. The shelter is designed to provide a safe haven for pets in need, replacing the outdated facilities they currently use. PC Pound Puppies operated without a shelter, while Posey Humane’s building is in disrepair, being an old furniture store. A new facility will be a significant upgrade, allowing them to better serve the community and care for more animals.

The organization relies solely on donations from individuals, local businesses, and foundations, as they are not affiliated with the Humane Society of the United States or any national organization.

What is Jordan’s Way Live Fundraiser?

Jordan’s Way is the brainchild of Kris Rotonda, who once spent 72 hours in a dog cage to raise awareness about the plight of shelter animals. After this impactful experience, Rotonda launched the 50 State Tour, visiting animal shelters across the country to raise money and inspire people to adopt.

The tour’s mission is clear: to share compelling stories that highlight animal welfare, encourage adoptions, and ultimately help clear out animal shelters. Through community outreach, social media advocacy, and live fundraising events, Jordan’s Way creates a wave of compassion that connects adoptable pets with their forever homes.
