Families Invited to Movie Night at Evansville’s Historic Reitz Bowl
From Friday Night Lights to Friday Night Frights
For decades and decades, the Reitz Bowl on Evansville’s west side has been known for its Friday night lights, but this October, the bowl will be home to some Friday night frights! Families and students of Reitz High School are invited to fill the bowl for a special outdoor movie screening of the original Hocus Pocus on October 25.
What to Bring for a Cozy Movie Night at the Bowl
If you plan on attending, you’re encouraged to bring your favorite blankets, slippers, snacks, and anything else you need to make the night as comfortable as possible. Whether you’re sitting close to friends or stretching out on the grass with your family, the historic Reitz Bowl provides the perfect setting for a fun and memorable evening.
Hocus Pocus is a Halloween Classic for All Ages
Hocus Pocus has become a Halloween classic for generations of fans. Those of us who remember seeing it over 30 years ago (it was released in 1993), now have kids or even grandkids who also love it. The mix of humor, spookiness, and memorable performances makes it perfect for fans of all ages.
This event is open to Reitz students and their families, making it a safe, inclusive, and community-focused evening. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the season, connect with neighbors, and enjoy a night of family-friendly entertainment in a historic venue.

Don’t miss this chance to experience the magic of Hocus Pocus in the Reitz Bowl! Mark your calendars for Friday, October 25, grab your blankets and chairs, and get ready for a night filled with fun, frights, and festive Halloween spirit.
