Kentucky Police Share Photos of Credit/Debit Card Skimmer [PHOTOS]

We've had reports within the last, say, 12 months or so about card skimmers being located in the Evansville area.

If you are unfamiliar, card skimmers are devices attached to ATMs or maybe gas pumps and they lift the information off your card.

Then the wily scumbag who placed it there comes back for it and has your card info.

I have to admit, I'm leery of these things. I always double check when I'm at a store ATM or an ATM kiosk. Or when I'm getting gas.

Well, I happened upon a picture posted by the Mt. Sterling, Kentucky Police Department.

The image is of a skimmer discovered at a Mt. Sterling gas station.

I don't know who the employee is who found this thing, but I thank him.

Always check for the inspection sticker.
