A long time ago, the MPD building at 9th and J.R. Miller was General Electric. I mean, a LONG time ago.

And when General Electric WAS there, one of my great-aunts worked there.

It's a cool, old historic building in Owensboro and I've always liked the fact that it's ALWAYS been in use.

The north side of that old barn now about three months closer to entering its third incarnation, according to a report from WFIE's Jonathan McEmber.

Crews have been clearing the building out and will soon get ready for the final phase of the structure's transformation to an apartment building.
