The 5th Annual Operation Santa Food Drive is all set to go. The Owensboro Police Department has teamed up with the Elizabeth Munday Center to make one of the city's finest Christmas traditions a huge success once again!

The OPD and the Munday Center will be gathering food supplies for those who are regularly served by the Meals on Wheels program.

Thanks to this year's donations from local businesses and department employees, approximately 300 people in our community.

That is awesome!

On Wednesday, December 20th at 9AM, members of the OPD and their families will put together boxes of goodies in the station's community room.

Those boxes will then be transferred (via the department's version of sleighs--police cruisers and SUVs--to those in need.

The Owensboro Police Department sends out a huge thanks to the businesses and organizations that made this all possible in 2016--Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline, IGA (Houchens Distributing), Lou's Distributing (Little Debbie), Kings Table Food Pantry, Audubon-Bon Harbor Neighborhood Alliance, Kroger, Owensboro Health, First Christian Church, and Lowe's.
