A couple of years ago, Layla Spring showed up at the Owensboro Convention Center to audition for WBKR's Battle for the Big O competition.  She stepped to the mic and belted out one of the best versions of "Folsom Prison Blues" I have ever heard.  She qualified for the Battle finale and sang her way into the 2016 Top Five!  And, now, Layla is moving on to a bigger stage!  The Marion Count

Prepare to a) be amazed and blown away by this 15-year-old's talent and b) to cry.  Last night on American Idol, Tristan McIntosh of Nashville blew the judges away with her performance of "Why, Baby, Why" by Mickey Guyton, then brought them to tears when her military mom showed up unannounced!
