There's a reason Ryman Auditorium in Nashville is referred to as "Mother Church". She's seen it all and she's 125 years old this year. As part of the Ryman's big anniversary two statues of country and bluegrass legends, "Little" Jimmy Dickens and Bill Monroe, have been unveiled.

Discussions and plans of building a museum dedicated to the father of Bluegrass music are finally coming to fruition. Bill Monroe will have a museum in his honor in his hometown of Rosine in Ohio County.

It's no secret all of us contributors for WBKR are always looking for something to blog about. I search for stories with "Owensboro" either in the story or in the title.
