I always gets me a bit concerned when I see adults and kids around fireworks in swim suits, shorts and flip-flops. You have to cover as much of your body as possible and make sure it is not a synthetic fabric. Those darn things melt to your skin and that hurts forever.
It is now legal to purchase fireworks that up to now were banned in Kentucky. While this is good news for fireworks lovers, it is a concern for the Owensboro Fire Department.
