New Beginnings

One evening this week my oldest son came home after practice and slumped down in a chair in our kitchen.  At 13 he doesn't often tell this mama bear all the things that go on in his daily life.  This particular evening was different.  I felt it.  He hung around just a little longer than normal.

New Beginnings and Diamond Lake Campground Resort are teaming up for an exciting 5K event.  It's the Diamond Dash 5K Moonlight Trail Run and it's coming up Saturday, May 21st.  Registrations are underway now, but the deadline to guarantee an official Diamond Dash t-shirt in your size is coming up May 6th.  Here's how you can enter to run in this unique, fun and thirst-quenching event!

New Beginnings' $1 Book Sale is underway at Towne Square Mall.  And there are literally thousands of books and every single one is priced at just ONE DOLLAR!  Thursday morning, I slipped in to get a sneak preview with my friend Karla Ward, who is the agency's Executive Director.  She showed me around and offered up this preview of the amazing selection!
