Veterans Day

It's about that time; the Owensboro Transit Systems (OTS) will once again offer free transit days starting next week.

Salute military veterans at the Owensboro/Daviess Veterans Day Parade. It's a chance to honor those who have served our great nation. We have the parade route.

Veterans Day is coming up next week and the following restaurants are giving back and saying thank you to all those who have served with free meals and other deals.

In celebration of Veterans Day, Kentucky State Parks are doing something very special. They are offering discounts for current and former military members at all of the state's lodging facilities.

Veterans have proudly served our country and kept us safe, so why not do something special to honor them? There's a way you can do just that to show them appreciation or recognition and aren't they worth it? I say yes!

On Veterans Day morning, the Fox News morning crew were joined in the studio by country star Lee Greenwood and a group of veterans from various branches of the military.

With all the negativity in the world during election time, we often forget about our freedom and those brave men and women who fought for us to have it.

Owensboro's annual Veterans Parade is set for Saturday in downtown Owensboro.  And this year's event will feature a special meal for our local veterans.

Glenn Family Services is hosting an event this Veterans Day. They are inviting all veterans to join the event, featuring sandwiches, chips and drinks provided by Old Hickory Bar-B-Q and live entertainment by Cathy and Tommy Mullins. Check it out!
