All “A”Classic Fast Pitch Tournament This Weekend

The Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic 2012 Fast Pitch Softball Tournament will be played at Jack C. Fisher Park in Owensboro this weekend on April 28-29.

Stan Steidel, President of the organization, stated in October, “We are very proud to provide opportunities for students in Kentucky’s small schools through both academics and athletics. We look forward to a partnership with Owensboro that will benefit both the city and our student athletes.”

Organization Secretary Mike Reeves said, “Owensboro is known for the quality of their athletic fields. We felt this was an excellent opportunity to further enhance the skills of our student athletics by playing at Jack C. Fisher Park.

The tournament is made possible through the sponsorship of Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives who continue their commitment to serving the youth of Kentucky. The Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic is excited about this move to a first-class city and a first-class facility.

This is the tournament’s first year in Owensboro. It will bring 16 teams, plus their families and fans, to town for the two-day event.
