It's a great program that coincides with Earth Day this Sunday.

Target will once again be taking in old car seats to recycle, and you can get a coupon for a deal off all car seats, strollers, booster seats etc. either in stores or you can shop for a new accessory online.

The old car seats will be recycled to create all kinds of new products.

Did you know most car seats are not not eligible for most curbside recycling programs? And used seats shouldn't be given away or sold since standards change about every six months. If a car seat has been in an accident, it needs to be replaced immediately.

In the five trade-in events, Target has collected 176,000 car seats for recycling; that's 2.6 million pounds of materials saved from piling up in landfills.

The car seat trade-in event runs Sunday, April 22 until Saturday, May 5th.
