Earlier in the week a listener of our sister station WBKR stopped by and had a very special treat for us.  She brought in what she calls "FireCrackers".  Basically crackers with all kinds of spices on them and they do have a bit of a bite to them.

Chad liked them so much that he asked kindly for the recipe and he was given the formula.  I promise you, he has the worst handwriting in the entire world.  Bless his heart... How did he pass English class? Or writing class?  Below is a video of me reading off the ingredients (as I see them) to these amazing spicy crackers.  And then see for yourself what this paper looks like below and check out the actual recipe and try these things out for yourself!!

JoAnn’s Firecrackers

4 sleeves of crackers

1 package dry ranch dressing mix

1 and 1/2 cup canola oil

2 tablespoons red pepper flakes

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dillweed

Line the crackers in a giant plastic Ziploc bag or a large plastic container with a lid.  It’s important that whatever you use seals and does NOT leak.

Mix the oil, dry ranch dressing mix, red pepper flakes, garlic powder and dillweed together.  Pour over the top of your crackers.

Every 15 minutes, for two hours, turn your container upside down and over, so the oil and spices coat each cracker.

After two hours . . . after everything has a had a chance to soak into your crackers . . . ENJOY!!

Store at room temperature!
