Friday After 5 Begins a 17 Week Schedule May 18

Friday After 5 is a summer-long series of free outdoor concerts held every Friday on the Owensboro, Ky riverfront. 

The weekending events began in 1996 with four concerts and grew into a 17-week signature festival for the entire tri-state area hosting more than 50,000 visitors each season on the beautiful riverfront every Friday After 5. It’s Where the Weekend Begins!

Fun. Friends. Free. has always been the mantra of FA5. Featuring a list of as long as the national debt but a whole lot more fun.

There is always something going on with entertainment on the big stage on the BB&T Plaza, to the newly redone Unifirst Courtyard. Also featured weekly is the Kroger Street Fair and on select Fridays,  Gospel on the River. There truly is something for everyone all Summer Long.

May 18: It’s Opening Night of our summer-long season of free riverfront concerts! Parrots of the Caribbean provide the Tropical atmosphere on the patio sponsored by Owensboro Medical Health Systems, the Kentucky Jazz Alliance is in the UniFirst Courtyard and a tropical theme on the Kroger Street Fair.

Memorial Day weekend kicks off Friday May 25 with Midnight Special: Owensboro Daviess County Airport and Cape Air presents Midnight Special’s “Rock Experience” on the main stage, the “Boro Band” in the UniFirst Courtyard, Glenn Family Services’ “Gospel on the River” features “Crossmen Quartet”, “Blackwwod Gospel Group” and “Paul Moseley” in Cannon Hall plus the Kroger Street Fair. It’s Where the Memorial Day Weekend Begins.
