Walker Wood Thomas, candidate for the 8th District House of Representatives, announced today that Governor Matt Bevin will be the special guest at a fundraiser for the Thomas campaign at the home of Hal and Elizabeth McCoy on Tuesday, February 9th at 6:00 p.m.

“Walker Thomas is committed to creating more jobs and educational opportunities for the people of Christian and Trigg counties,” said Governor Bevin. “His strong business background and record of community involvement will serve all the people of the 8th District well in Frankfort. I will do all I can to ensure that Walker is elected to restore fiscal responsibility and accountability to state government.”

In a statement from the candidate, Thomas said, “I appreciate the support of Governor Bevin and all the people from across Christian and Trigg counties who have encouraged me to run for state representative. I will work tirelessly in Frankfort to create more jobs and opportunities for Western Kentucky families. I will also continue to represent the 8th District in the same fashion as John Tilley, by listening to Republicans, Democrats, and Independents alike.”

Walker Thomas will be on the ballot in a special election on Tuesday, March 8th, to fill the vacant seat in the Kentucky General Assembly for the 8th District consisting of portions of Christian and Trigg Counties.
