Steve Stockman began his career as a radio guy in the Boston area. After falling in love with video he moved to Los Angeles and began working on a career as a director.  The following is how Steve describes himself and his new book.

"I’m a writer/director/producer at Custom Productions, Inc. in Los Angeles.  I’ve done a feature film, a couple of music videos, some TV, a Web Series and over 200 commercials.

My first book, How to Shoot Video that Doesn’t Suck, is available now .  It’s based on a course I’ve been teaching to kids for the last 12 years, but adults will understand it too. It’s not technical—it doesn’t matter whether you’re shooting HD or cellphone. It’s about how to shoot video that’s entertaining, effective—and that actually gets watched." Being someone who is never satisfied with the videos I shoot and show to others, I thought this might be a bit interesting. What I found was almost 250 pages of brilliance.

Steve was a guest on my morning radio show Friday morning. He shared some great tips with me on simple ideas for creating video that people will actually watch.

Steve also has a video with some additional tips on his website.
