OPD Offer’s Child Carseat Safety Check

The Owensboro Police Department is about to offer a new service to the community.

July 31 thru  August 3,  several members of the department will beparticipating in a Child Safety Seat Certification class provided by Norton Healthcare located in Louisville, Ky. 

The Deptartment invites citizens to stop by the Owensboro Police Department located at 222 E. 9th Street on Friday, August 3rd between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.for a complimentary child seat inspection. 

All inspections will be conducted by members of the class. 

The inspections will take place in the rear vehicle bay of the department to ensure that participants are kept out of any inclement weather. Entrance to the inspection area is located through the gate on Daviess Street.

If you are unable to attend, you can call OPD at 270-687-8847 to schedule an inspection with a certified officer at a more convenient date and time.
