Special Needs Awareness Fair Set for Saturday July 28

Two Rivers Buddy Ball has been providing those with special needs the chance to participate in sporting events for the past several years. Basketball, fishing, soccer are just some of the activities provided by a dedicated group of volunteers and parents.

Billy Shane decided to take things a bit further. "Many times parents and caregivers are not aware of the services that are available for those with special needs. These services sometimes are not easy to identify. If a doctor or social worker is not aware of what's out there much need services are never delivered.", explained Shane.

That is the purpose of the "Special Needs Awareness Fair" set for this Saturday at Lewis Lane Baptist Church. The event is open to everyone. The hours are 9 - 12 noon.

Billy tells me there will be more than 22 agencies and organizations present with information. If I know Billy door prizes may be in the mix too.
