The event was so big that Joan Rivers and company stood outside the theater to interview the stars as they walked in on the Red Carpet. The night was magical with fans young and old enjoying themselves for a good cause.

Friday night was the first of two nights for Toast. Friday was adults with Saturday being for the younger set. The weekend activities in the city were many. Friday After 5,  Two H.S. Football games involving all four local teams, and the downtown Forum were just a few of the competing events. While the crowd could have been bigger they were loud and proud.

I was honored to be the emcee of the event. The evening was filled with laughter, music and a few tears as local people used their talents for a great cause.

If you were not able to attend this year I hope you will next year. At $15 it was the best show in town. If you dont know about the H.L. Neblett Community Center, be sure to visit their home page and see how it makes such an impact on the young people in our community. Consider a donation or think of a way you can become involved in their life-channging work.

Executive Director Gregory Black, the Neblett Center board, and Staff all deserve a sincere thank-you for all they did to make Friday night a success. As for the entertainers? WOW.
