Verizon Wireless Welcomes 4G LTE Network to Daviess County

Big news for Verizon customers - Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network launches across much of Daviess Couinty this week. And, today the first 100 visitors to the mobile department at the Frederica Street Best Buy will get a chocolate bar and a 1 in 25 chance to win a Verizon Wireless DROID RAZR M smartphone. They call it the "golden ticket" promotion. It starts at 10 a.m. and celebrates the launch of Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE network in Owensboro.

Bonnie Hackbarth of Verizon says, " this new network offers speeds that are 10 times faster than the current 3G speeds. As a result, consumers can download songs in seconds and movies in minutes, browse the web much faster, and enjoy live video chat on their smartphones".

Ms. Hackbarth tells us, "Owensboro is the third market in Kentucky to get 4G LTE, which is now available in Louisville and Lexington, and one of more than 410 markets nationwide".
