‘300: Rise of an Empire’ Clips: Sullivan Stapleton and Eva Green Seize Their Glory
'300: Rise of an Empire' will hit theaters in one week's time, and to give you more of a preview of the action to come, Warner Bros. unleashed six new clips.
Sullivan Stapleton (Cinemax's 'Strike Back') and Eva Green ('Sin City: A Dame to Kill For') are at the forefront of this follow-up to '300,' which starred Gerard Butler. Taking place at the same time as the first film, the camera shifts view to see what war is waging on the Aegean Sea as Artemisia (Green) leads the Persian Navy against the Greeks, led by Themystokles (Stapleton).
Rodrigo Santoro also reprises his role of Xerxes the "God King," only this time around we get to see his origins, which is all thanks to Artemisia. Building up the supporting cast are a batch of familiar faces, including Lena Headey of 'Game of Thrones' fame, 'The Lord of the Rings' star David Wenham, Hans Matheson of 'Sherlock Holmes' and 'Clash of the Titans,' and rising star Jack O'Connell, who'll star in Angelina Jolie's 'Unbroken' and was recently cast in the MI6 origin story 'Section 6.'
'300: Rise of an Empire' hits theaters Friday, March 7, and will feature many of the same elements (including cinematic feel and battle sequences) as the first '300.' Preview all that's coming in the clips (above and below).
