3rd Annual Owensboro’s Got Talent Contest Winners!

Saturday night was the Owensboro's Got Talent Season Finale and we have the list of winners!

I was fortunate enough to emcee the finale of Owensboro's Got Talent  Saturday night at the Empress Theatre in Downtown Owensboro. This is an annual fundraiser to support the Theatre Workshop of Owensboro and the arts. The talent was SO good and anybody really could have won it all.

Emma Brown sang and played her way to the GRAND PRIZE of $1.000!  She performed the Tom Petty song "Free Falling" to an audience of more than 250. She put a country twist to the song and made it her own. Emma comes from a large musical family and has a bright future ahead of her! She was very emotional when she heard that she was the winner. Such a humble young lady.

The 2nd PLACE winner was Deb Rust and Chuck Flaim, who sang and played guitar.  Deb has the voice of an angel! Check out their 2nd PLACE winning performance that earned them $500!

3rd PLACE was Jacob Murray, also a singer and musician. I love his classic country voice. We'll be hearing more from Jacob in the future! I couldn't find the video from his performance, but you can take my word for it.....Jacob rocked the stage and brought home $250.
