A Woman Will Be On The New $10 Dollar Bill By 2020 (Who Should It Be?)

I have way too much change in my wallet/purse, I don't what to call it, but when I picked out what I though was a quarter, I discovered it was the Susan B. Anthony one dollar piece. It's dated 1979, and it was in circulation for only a few years. When the $10 dollar bill gets a makeover, a woman will be on it. It's about time!

A woman has been featured on U.S. currency three times. Martha Washington was featured on a $1 silver certificate between 1891 and 1896. The aforementioned suffragette Anthony was featured on the one dollar piece from 1979-1981. And in 2000, a slightly bigger and gold one dollar piece featured Sacagawea. If one had a gold dollar, they didn't spend it, at least I didn't.

Even though the Secretary of the Treasury will make the final decision, the public is being asked to hashtag which lady they would like to see on the new $10. Just use #TheNew10 to express your opinion, designs, ideas, etc.
