After Monday’s Total Solar Eclipse, There Won’t Be a Long Wait Until the Next One [MAP]

I experienced my second total solar eclipse Monday afternoon. It is still very, very cool. No, check that. It is spectacular and humbling. Back in 1979, I made a viewer at school and we went outside and watched.

This time I had glasses.

And I'm hanging onto them because in seven years, I'll be able to use them again.

According to GreatAmericanEclipse.com, there will be another total solar eclipse on April 8th, 2024.

And according to the map on its website, we'll only need to be in southwestern Indiana to get a perfect view of totality.

The map doesn't indicate how long totality will last there, but it does appear that the path in 2024 is wider.

And honestly, to be more specific, the more I look at it, the more it appears that Evansville will be a prime location AND that Owensboro seems closer to the path of totality in seven years than it was today.

Again, based on the mad scramble that happened this year, HANG ON TO THOSE GLASSES!
