If You’re the Next American Idol, Here’s How to Audition for the Show
Do you know someone who has what it takes to be the next American Idol?? Well, auditions for the 20th season of the show get underway virtually this month. Here's how they're going to work.
For the new season, producers are looking for talent from all fifty states and, consequently, have designated specific dates in August and September as audition dates for specific states. For instance, show hopefuls from Kentucky and Indiana can audition virtually on Wednesday, August 18th.
These virtual auditions will be live, but you have to sign up for them in advance. Before you do that, you need to create an Idol profile. Once you have done that, you can begin the process of reserving your audition time. To audition, you must be at least 15-years-old by September 15th, 2021. In fact, the age range for the upcoming season is 15-29.
ABC just recently announced that American Idol would indeed return for a 20th season. The first fifteen seasons of the show were on Fox, of course. This will be the fifth season the show has been on ABC. Ryan Seacrest is returning to host and will be joined again by Luke Bryan. Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, who will again serve as judges.
