There’s a Big Fishing Tournament and Cornhole Tournament in Robards, KY This Weekend
If you're looking for something really fun to do this weekend, you may want to head to Henderson County. B.I.A.C.- the Brain Injury Adventure Camp- is hosting a two-day fundraiser to raise money for its major programs.
The creation of B.I.A.C. was inspired by T.K. Johns, who suffered a devastating brain injury in November of 2003. T.K. was in training to be on the U.S. Olympic Snowboarding team. He was 25-years-old at the time of his accident, which left him in a coma for five months and paralyzed for the rest of his life. T.K. passed away February 10th, 2018. To this day, his father, Tim, serves as the Director of B.I.A.C., which hosts a variety of programs annually for other victims of brain injuries and those with developmental disabilities. Among those programs- two annual police camps, a special needs Easter egg hunt and a prom.
This weekend, B.I.A.C. is hosting a huge Fall fundraiser that invites you to the incredible 42-acre multi-use venue that the community uses for weddings, corporate events and, of course, a variety of B.I.A.C. events. The two-day extravaganza is going to feature live music, food, ziplining, rock walls, a fishing tournament, cornhole tournament and a popular outdoor movie. Here's a look at the official poster and schedule of events.
