The Cadillac Escalade has been around since the late 90's and was strongly based on the Chevy Tahoe/Suburban SUV models.  Since then, it has grown to be the top dog, the SUV of SUV's, the Cadillac of Cadillac's if you will.  And still looks smell's and feels like a Tahoe.  No reports on how it tastes.

It has gone through some dramatic changes over the years,  been in a few music videos and spends most of its time at the gas station rather than in your garage.  The next model which is being released as the 2015 model isn't much different (gas wise).  A strong GM 6.2L V8 power plant with 420HP and 480 pounds of torque is offered.  A bit much?  In the mind of a V8 petrol-head too much is never enough.

Here is the inside.  Much better looking than the outside (Brett's opinion).  It looks almost identical to the XTS and ATS models.

When I test drove an ATS I realized that the volume buttons and heat/ac buttons were all heat sensitive to the touch which is really dumb.  I like good ole fashion buttons in my cars. Other than that though.  beautiful leather everywhere, GPS and still that big tree gear shifter with push button manual transmission.

And now we take a long walk to the back of this cruise liner and see that it has turned itself into a Volvo.  Oh wait its still a Cadillac.  TAKE IT BACK.  They better have some sort of add on feature that you can cover the majority of those lights.  Either that or I will gladly build wooden covers for those of you who don't want fork prongs for tail lights.

So there she is.  The 2015 Cadillac Escalade.  To follow up on my opinion of this SUV, we learned that it is very big, very powerful, no one will mistake the fact that your foot is on the break and you better not have cold fingers to turn the radio up.  This puppy will set someone back around $65,000.

A+ on the inside but a Solid "C" for the outside.  It's one of those cars where you say, "It's really ugly... but I can't tell you why.".
