Danica Patrick’s with Stewart-Haas Racing Comes to an End

Danica Patrick has been driving for Stewart-Haas Racing for six seasons, but that relationship will come to and end in 2018.

In her Tuesday morning statement about the split, Patrick mentioned the high points of those six years, including earning a Daytona 500 pole and seven top 10 finishes.

An Associated Press story posted by KY3/Springfield, Missouri indicates the severance was due to a new sponsorship arrangement next season.

The post points out that Smithfield Foods is leaving Richard Petty Motorsports to join Stewart-Haas next season.

That statement came just prior to Patrick's announcement.
