We took our daughter Sandy and the Grandkids to Diamond Lake Resort for their annual Easter Egg Hunt and Celebration Saturday. The Mythaler and Smith families put on this yearly event as a thank you to the many families from the area who make Diamond Lakes their weekend and vacation time homes.

Even if you dont camp there is always something to do at Diamond Lakes.  Fishing, go-Karts, feeding the fish and ducks , hiking and theme weekends are all part of the fun. They also have the Theater where Randy Lanham and his brother put on some great family shows each month. Oh, there is also plenty of food from ice cream to pizza, hamburgers to tater tots, they have it all and a reasonable prices.

Saturday's event began at 11:30 with games, face painting, visits with the Easter Bunny and lunch. At 1:30 the hunt began with the kids divided up in age groups to insure everyone was able to enjoy the event and get an egg.

Over 2,000 eggs were hidden in the "Tent City" are of the resort. In less that 20 minutes it was over. Everyone had a great time. I didnt see one kiddo crying, complaining, or upset. With over 300 kids on hand that is quite a feat.

I am posting some pictures here. These were taken in both the lunch/games section and the egg hunt. Again thanks to the folks at Diamond Lake Resort for providing a great time for our families. Be sure to make the short trip out anytime you can. The fish and ducks are always hungry and the Go-Karts are ready to race.
