Dying Basketball Player Scores in Game, Moves Entire Nation
The most heartbreaking sports story of the year just got more even more heartbreaking.
Lauren Hill is a freshman on the Mount Saint Joseph basketball team with an inoperable brain tumor who got to play in a game before she died. That game took place this past weekend.
Hill is not expected to live past December, so the NCAA allowed her team to move up its season opener in order to let her experience the thrill of playing.
Her story gained so much attention the venue had to be moved to a 10,000 seat arena at Xavier University where her coach drew up a play just for her to sink a bucket. Watch the video above to see her story.
