After a couple of years away, the Insane Inflatable 5K is heading back to Evansville on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019 for a full day of running, jumping, and climbing at the Vanderburgh County 4-H Fairgrounds.

The Insane Inflatable 5K -- a fun and dynamic 5K, made up solely of inflatable obstacles -- will challenge you, surprise you, and leave you bouncing back for more! We didn’t just throw together a couple slides and bounce houses – we took imagination and creativity, and went to the leading manufacturer of custom inflatables. We told them to throw out the rulebook; we want to go INSANE!

Krazy Kids Inflatable Fun Run

The Krazy Kids Inflatable Fun Run is the first event of its kind, an inflated obstacle run for kids ages 4 – 9 years old. We didn’t just throw together a couple of slides and bounce houses – we took imagination, creativity, and of course FUN into consideration when creating our course.

Spread over a short course, kids will run, bounce, and slide on some of the KRAZIEST inflatables they’ve ever seen. The event also features “Krazy Town” – a midway that promises to be the “bounciest” town you’ll ever step foot in!

Insane Midway

The fun doesn’t stop once you’ve crossed the finish line; now it’s really time to celebrate! Along the way one of your friends is sure to have pulled off some ridiculously embarrassing moves that you won’t be able to let them live down. After all, that’s a part of the fun!

Once you are done talking up your performance and laughing at your poor friend who ripped their pants in half, swing by the Bag Check tent to pick up your bag and head into the Insane Midway to relax and enjoy.

Event Parking Info

Parking for the event will be $10, cash only. Please following event parking signs.

 Friday Packet Pickup

You will arrive at the packet pickup location and find our team of volunteers. You will need to present the following to pick up race bibs:

  • Photo ID for all adult runners (this can be a picture on your phone, a printed scan, or the actual ID)
  • Date of birth of all minor runners

After you show your ID to our registration volunteer, you will receive your race bib and event day instructions. One person is able to pickup for the entire team, as long as they present the IDs and waivers are signed.

What Do I Need to Bring?

We guarantee you are going to have a blast at the Insane Inflatable 5K, but here are a couple things you’ll want to make sure you bring with you:

  • A valid ID so you pick up your registration packet, claim your checked bag and purchase beer.
  • Cash for parking and a Credit Card for food & beverage and merchandise.
  • Appropriate clothing/footwear for the race; shoes are ok to be worn on all of the inflatables.
  • Water stops are provided along the way, but we suggest bring a water bottle.
  • Family and friends… spectators are FREE… you did read that correctly… FREE! So why not make a day of it with family or friends? There is plenty of fun stuff for them to do while you’re out on course.
  • Change of clothes are an option, but if you prefer to rock your awesome costume after the event, more power to you! Feel free to bring a change of clothes

What Can’t I Bring?

We want you to make the most of your day with us, but there are few things that we ask you not to bring:

  • Bad attitude!
  • Valuables … better safe than sorry.
  • Pets are like family, we get it … but just this once, please leave Sparky at home!
  • Outside alcoholic beverages. We’ll have plenty of beer in the midway and promise to keep prices budget conscious.
  • Personal pop-up tents; some of our venues are tight on space.

When To Arrive?

Plan to arrive at least 60 minutes prior to your start time. This will give you time to park, check in at registration, stretch, meet up with friends and family and get pumped to have an insanely good time. Log into your account at eventelf.com and select “Events” at the to find your start time.

Where Do I Park?

All participant parking will be in dedicated lots around the area. Please follow event parking signs. Parking fees may apply depending on the event venue and must be paid in cash.

What Do I Get With Registration?

Your registration includes a sweet t-shirt, insanely cool running bib and access into the Insane Midway. Bibs are to be secured to the front of your shirt.

What Next After Registration Packet Pick-Up?

After going through registration, feel free to head over to Gear Check and drop off your bag with anything you don’t want with you out on the course (phone, wallet, change of clothes). Gear Check is complimentary and secure (we are not responsible for lost or stolen items).

Keep in mind:

  • 1 bag per person
  • No re-checking bags
  • No coolers

If you don’t have any gear to check, head into the Insane Midway to explore our midway games and sponsor tents, stretch, grab an energy drink or meet up with your friends. Get pumped, your start time will be soon!

When Does My Wave Start?

You can view your wave time by logging on HERE and choosing “Events.”

Participants will have their specific wave time written on their bib. Only runners with the correct wave time will be allowed in the starting line area. All others will be turned away.

What Next After The Run?

Grab your finisher t-shirt and medal, then kick back and relax in our INSANE Midway with an ice cold beverage and food from our vendors and soak in the glory!

Can My Child Run In The Insane Inflatable 5K Instead of Krazy Kids?

Yep! As long as you purchase the Insane Inflatable 5K ticket for them, they'll be able to run that course. We just offer the Krazy Kids course as an additional option!

Are Pictures Taken At The Event?

Yes! There will be a volunteer at every event taking pictures in the Insane Midway and Finish Line areas. We do our best to get pictures of everyone, but cannot make any guarantees. All pictures are posted on our Facebook page after the event, and participants are notified via email. If you see our cameraman walking around- SMILE! Is The Race Timed?

No the race and its participants do not get timed. Trust us there are plenty of events out there that offer timing and that’s cool. We’re solely about having an INSANE time on the INSANE obstacle course. Can Spectators Attend For Free?

Yes, all spectators can attend for free.

 

Can I Skip An Obstacle?

Absolutely. If at any time you feel uncomfortable completing any of the obstacles, just walk around it.

 

Is There An Age/Height Requirement To Participate?

All participants at least 42" tall on event day can run the Insane Inflatable 5K course and 36" tall can run the Krazy Kids course. The age range for children to participate in the Krazy Kids Inflatable Fun Run is 4 to 9 years old.

 

How Do I Confirm My Start Time?

Is There A Weight Limit On The Obstacles?

No, there is no weight limit on our obstacles.

 

How Can I Sign My Waiver?

How Can A Duplicate Registration Charge Be Adjusted?

If when checking out you received a notice that we were unable to process your payment, it’s possible the transaction was declined due to failed address verification. When this happens, your bank may still authorize the charge and therefore show in your bank account, but know that in this case the charge will not settle and should clear within a few business days. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you still have questions regarding duplicate charges.

 

Will I Receive A Participant Guide?

Yes participant guides are sent out on the Wednesday prior to the event via e-mail. These guides include all information regarding parking, venue specifics and event day preparations and more.

 

Can You Ship My Participant Shirt/Medal?

The participant shirt and medal can only be picked up at the event; we cannot ship them.

 

What is The Styling/Sizing of Finisher Shirts?

All finisher shirts come in adult, unisex sizing. On event day adjustments can be made to the shirt size you selected when registering.

 

Will You Cancel for Bad Weather?

The Insane Inflatable 5K will run rain or shine. In the case of lightning or other “severe” weather, the event will either be delayed until the weather clears, postponed until the next day, rescheduled for another day or cancelled all together. There are no standing scheduled “rain dates” for events owned and directed by the Insane Inflatable 5K. Events are held rain, shine or snow. In the case of significantly inclement weather (i.e. lightning in the area), we reserve the right to alter components of the event or course to address safety concerns, or potentially delay, postpone or cancel the event. In addition, it is possible that while we desire not to cancel the event, our facility and/or municipalities may force the cancellation of the event. In such situations, there will be no refunds of entry fees. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee. Monies collected have already been used to develop and produce the event. We promise to make every effort to produce a fair, safe and exciting event. Any decision made to go forth with the event is contingent on the overall event and course safety, and is made in collectively with local risk management, police, fire & rescue, and medical personnel as appropriate. We reserve the right to withhold any obstacles to maintain a safe course for all runners.

How Does The Family Discount Work?

In order to receive a 20% family discount, you'll need to have at least ONE Insane Inflatable 5K ticket and ONE Krazy Kids Inflatable 5K ticket in your cart. You'll then input the code FAMILY into the promo code box and hit Apply.

 

Can I Transfer Another Runner's Registration?

You can only transfer the ticket for another runner that you paid for if:

  • The runner is a minor
  • The runner has not accepted the waiver and created their own EventElf.com account
  • If the runner does not fit into either of these categories, then they must complete the transfer themselves from their own account.

 

Do I Have To Register My Child?

All runners must register and pay to run the course.

Yes, we offer military members and their families $5 off their order. When registering for an event, you can enter the military discount code USA5 in the ‘Discount Code’ box at checkout.

Can I Purchase My Registration At The Event?

If I Create A Team Does It Guarantee All Members Will Start Together?

Creating a team does not ensure members will have the same start time. All members must complete registration prior to the start time closing. In order to guarantee that all members will start together, we highly recommend registering early before waves start to fill up. Please note that after a wave fills up, there are a very limited number of "All Access Passes" for sale that will grant a registrant entry into a wave of their choice, even if it is full.

What Fees Am I Paying For?

You may notice that your order total is higher than expected. The price we list is the Registration Fee, but there is also a small race insurance fee ($3.50) and a credit card processing fee (10%) directly from our ticketing site. Depending on your state, there may be a small state tax as well.

 

What Is The All Access Pass?

The All Access Pass allows runners to participate in any start time, even if the wave time is closed, and they can run the course multiple times. It includes a $20 merchandise credit on event day only.
