IL Drunk Thought It Would Be Good To Park On Railroad Tracks
When looking for a good place to park your vehicle, I suggest avoiding railroad tracks.
There's No Excuse For Drunk Driving In Illinois
In this day and age, there's no reason for drunk driving. There are cell phones to use like little computers. You can use designated drivers, rideshare apps, public transportation, walking, or staying where you're at. They're all very good options. Apparently, there are still people in Illinois that just don't get it. Those are the ones you see on the news that are arrested for a DUI.
Illinois Drunk Driver Parks On Railroad Tracks
This drunk driver in Elmhurst is a genius. He was so wasted, he thought it would be a good idea to park his vehicle on railroad tracks. When he tried to move the car, it got stuck. Of course, a witness called the police. When they arrived, he was immediately arrested for DUI. By the way, he didn't have insurance either. That was really dangerous because a lot of trains including commuters and cargo go through that area all the time. We have a winner of the dumb criminals doing stupid crimes award.
Jose J. Serna, 21, of Glendale Heights, was arrested at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday at Maple Avenue and the railroad tracks on charges of DUI, parking on the railroad tracks, and driving an uninsured vehicle. Police said Serna's vehicle was stuck on the railroad tracks.
