I would never consider going to a library in Illinois as risky but after this latest situation, I might change my mind. The only sketchy people I ever remember seeing in the local library are the creeps using the internet for NSFW websites. Otherwise, I would say it's a pretty safe place.

The police in Joliet received a call about a gunshot wound. When they arrived at the home, officers found a man that had been injured by a bullet. Luckily, it wasn't too serious. They transported him to the local hospital where he was treated and released. He wasn't your normal shooting victim.

Apparently, the man was at the Joilet public library. He went into the restroom. The suspect followed him in. At that point, the assailant pulled out a gun and shot him in the privates. All I can think is "OUCH!" The police are investigating the incident. Unfortunately, there are no details at this time. Authorities say it was just a one-time deal and they don't expect any more trouble.

I feel like there is a lot more to the story than the victim is sharing with the cops. Why was he really shot? Why the library? Why in the privates? Hopefully, we'll find out more in the near future.
