A small animal rescue located in Indiana is asking for a little help for a little duck with a big need.

Meet Merigold

It isn't every day that you come across a duck in a wheelchair while sipping your morning coffee and scrolling social media, but that is exactly how I came across Marigold. She is a small little duck who suffered an injury that unfortunately went too long without proper care.

It turns out Marigold'sleg was not able to be fixed due to a slipped tendon that was slipped for several weeks before we got her. Unfortunately once a tendon has slipped out of place entirely there's a very limited window to try to fix it and she was definitely past that.

Lucky Ducky

Luckily for Marigold, she has found herself in the care of the Pipsqueakery, a 501 c3 non-profit animal rescue located in Bloomington, Indiana. She is currently in a foster home and is making use of a small doggy wheelchair that has been modified to fit her. Unfortunately, Marigold is growing, and soon her set of wheels will be too small for her. The Pipsqueakery says a new, larger wheelchair costs about $365.
