Illinoisans Returning from Funeral Say They Saw a ‘Walking Wolf’

Have you ever seen something strange driving at night in Illinois? If you've ever driven anywhere at night especially in rural Illinois, that's almost certainly a yes. One Illinois couple who were returning from a funeral had a strange experience as they swear they saw what they describe as a 'walking wolf'.

I saw this interesting tale (or should that be "tail"?) shared by Weird Around Illinois on YouTube a few weeks ago. While I recommend listening to them tell the story as they do it better than me, I'll summarize.

An Illinois couple was returning from their mother-in-law's funeral when they were driving on Route 31 in Illinois which is located here on a map.

The Illinois couple saw a beast walking from a cemetery. They are certain it was not a bear since whatever this creature was absolutely walked only on two feet and did not cross in front of them on all fours. This is one cemetery that I know is very near Route 31 in Illinois.

What natural explanation could there be for a creature that looks like a wolf walking? I suppose that considering the fact that they were returning from a family member's funeral could be blamed on some sort of hallucination or emotional trauma. Perhaps, but they both remain convince that it was a 'walking wolf' and they're not alone in their telling of strange creatures in that part of Illinois.
