Kentucky Is Home to More of This Popular Chain Than Any Other State

You might be surprised to know that Kentucky leads the nation in locations of a popular chain restaurant, and it isn't KFC.

There are so many chain restaurants across the country. A lot of delicious restaurants that serve up a variety of menu items like comfort food, burgers, fried chicken, seafood, Italian, Mexican, and steakhouses; the list goes on. One of my favorite chain restaurants out there happens to be Fazoli's. Honestly, everything on the menu there is amazing. The spaghetti, lasagna, ziti, alfredo, chicken parmesan, and pizza, but I will say that their breadsticks are the best. I'll go there just for the breadsticks!

Why is Fazoli's Closing Locations Across the Country?

That being said, Fazoli's locations have been shutting down recently, as with many other chain restaurants. Fazoli's parent company, FAT Brands Inc., recently filed for Chapter 11 reorganization bankruptcy. According to Bloomberg, "the filing comes as FAT’s debt restructuring faces potential complications from litigation with creditors."

It's sad to see another restaurant that I've always enjoyed going to slowly start to close down. That being said, there are still plenty of locations that remain open. To my surprise, I discovered that Kentucky, of all places, leads the nation with the most Fazoli's locations.

Kentucky is Home to the Most Fazoli's Locations in the Country

Yeah, you read that correctly. Kentucky has the most Fazoli's locations still in operation in the entire country. The Bluegrass State has a total of 26 locations, according to Fazoli's website. Kentucky's neighbor to the north, Indiana, comes in with the second-most locations with 18. You can take a look at how many locations each state has below:

Honestly, of all places, I didn't expect Kentucky to lead the country in Fazoli's locations. They don't even lead the nation in KFC locations, and Kentucky is in the actual name of the restaurant! Pretty cool little fun fact that you didn't even know you needed today!
