Pumpkin Patches, Corn Mazes and Fall Fun in the Tri-State

It's officially fall, which means I am now legally obligated to want pumpkins on my porch, apple cider in my hand, and absolutely no temperatures above 75 degrees.

Ok, maybe that last one isn't entirely under my control.

But fall has officially arrived, and farms around Southern Indiana, Western Kentucky, and Southern Illinois are ready for one of my favorite parts of the season: pumpkin patch season.

It's Time for Pumpkin Patches and Corn Mazes

There's something about spending a crisp fall afternoon wandering through a pumpkin patch that makes you feel like you've properly participated in the season.

Fortunately, we don't have to travel far to do it.

Across the Tri-State, local farms are welcoming visitors for weekends filled with pumpkin picking, hayrides, corn mazes, and all kinds of fall activities. Some have turned the traditional trip to the pumpkin patch into a full day of entertainment, with everything from farm animals and games to food, treats, and activities for the kids.

And yes, adults without children are also allowed to get unnecessarily excited about finding the perfect pumpkin. I checked.*
