Compiling Data and Crunching Numbers - Illinois City Takes Top Spot
After compiling all of the data, and crunching all of the numbers, they released a list of the 50 Safest and Most Affordable Cities. With an average mortgage cost of $1,840, 851 property crimes reported, and 215 violent crimes, the top spot as the safest, and most affordable is the city in the Unites States goes to Elgin, Illinois.
Indiana's Safest and Most Affordable City, According to the Study
As for Indiana, taking the #1 safest and most affordable in the state, and number 19 on the list overall, is Fort Wayne. The average home mortgage in Fort Wayne is $1,378, 6,393 property crimes, and 702 violent crimes.
