Evansville Youth Organization Announces New Campground + Fundraising Efforts
Evansville's Young & Established shared some incredibly exciting news today on social media, but along with the announcement comes a request for help from the community it serves.
Young & Establish Aims to Mentor, Develop and Lead the Youth in Our Community
The brainchild of Founder and Executive Director, Courtney Johnson, Young & Established is an amazing organization that operates with a sort of three-fold mission to mentor, develop, and lead the youth in our community.
Founded By A True Servant Leader
If you have ever met Courtney, you know just how much of a passion project the organization is for him. He is the true definition of a servant leader and it shows in everything he does. He has big dreams and knows how to chase them. He notoriously leaves everyone he meets a little better than he found them.
Young & Established exists for the betterment of the community, primarily through the inspiration and motivation of youth, but additionally by developing and participating in various activities and events focused on addressing today’s challenges. Y&E strives to be a leading organization that actively promotes positive youth empowerment. It is the passionate desire of the Young & Established movement for youth and young adults to realize their self-worth and potential, establish and reach goals, become successful members of their communities, and to fulfill their dreams!
A Special Announcement
In a post on Facebook, Courtney announced that Young & Established has some very exciting news to share. The organization has recently acquired a campsite where the kids who take advantage of the resources offered by Y&E will have the opportunity to camp, fish, hike, and more. The new site is going allow them to expand the resources offered to the youth in our community.
Young & Established has exciting news! We now have a campsite to provide a safe space for our kids to experience nature through fishing, camping, and other nature-related activities for rest and peace. Aside from the recreational programming that will be provided, kids will also be taken on guided walks through the lot, participate in small, outdoor group sessions with a focus on discussing mental health and healing, and given dedicated mentorship time on site.
A Call to Action for the Community
Part of what has made Young & Established so successful, allowing it to continue providing a whole host of resources for our community's children, is the support that the organization has received from the community as a whole. They are asking once again that we step up to help them continue their important work.
