There’s a Bar in Lexington that Does Giant Foam Parties and I’m Going to Have to Take a Road Trip Now
My First Foam Party
Last spring, my bonus daughter got married in Punta Cana at the Club Med Resort. It was such a fun trip filled with activities day and night. I tried snorkeling, went on a boat cruise, and even checked out the resort’s circus school, where guests could learn trapeze work.
But one of the events that really stood out during the week was the foam party!
Foam Parties Have Been Around for a While
Back in the early 2000s, there was an under-21 nightclub in the area that hosted weekly foam parties. I’d heard about them but never actually experienced one myself, until that day in Punta Cana.
It all went down on the beach, where the resort had a giant foam machine blasting suds everywhere. The “hose master” definitely loved his job because he didn’t mind spraying us tourists directly in the face.

Letting Loose as a 40+ Mom
As a 40-something mom, I don’t always get the chance to do something like this, so I decided to let loose and have a blast. Sure, I ended up with eyes, nose, and mouth full of soapy bubbles, looking like a total train wreck, but it all washed off quickly, and it was worth it. So, when I saw that there is a bar in Lexington that offers monthly foam parties, I stuck it on my bucket list!
Foam Parties in Lexington, Kentucky
The Neon Moon Bar and Lounge in Lexington, Kentucky (just voted best bar in Lexington) hosts them every month. They did this last year, and it looked so fun. Now, they announced the foam parties are back this year. The foam was so high it went over people’s heads, completely engulfing the crowd. Add in neon lights, pulsing music, and a lively atmosphere, and you’ve got the perfect foam party!

The first one this year is Saturday, June 6. If you see me there acting a fool in some foam, mind ya business! Just be sure to bring some extra clothes with you if you plan to participate. No one wants to be foamy all night! Ha!
