Nothing sparks the nostalgia of childhood quite like the "ber" months. October, November, and December are all full of holiday fun and special memories.

It seems funny to think about now, but a lot of those memories revolve around McDonald's. We didn't even eat fast food that often, but whenever there was a fun promotion, we'd swing through and grab a Disney character Christmas ornament or themed drinking glass to collect.

The Nostalgia of McDonald's Boo Buckets

I was so excited a few years ago whenever McDonald's announced they were bringing back Boo Buckets, made popular in the late 80s/early 90s. As a kid, getting your Happy Meal inside a cute plastic tub that doubled as your trick-or-treating collector felt pretty cool. The ghost, the witch, and the pumpkin were the original designs with sculpted lids to match.

When Will Boo Buckets Return to McDonald's for 2025?

While the new style of pails has looked different, it's fun to share a bit of the festive spirit with my kiddo now that I'm a parent. I'm not sure what the design is this year, but I know McDonald's isn't the only one having a spooky good time! Here are the other fast food restaurants that are celebrating.
