Disney Fans Prepare For A Total Solar Eclipse In 2045
In twenty years, Walt Disney World is going to sit in near complete darkness. The Magic Kingdom is going to experience a total solar eclipse!
I live in western Kentucky, where we have experienced two total solar eclipses in the last few years. In 2017, Hopkinsville and surrounding areas welcomed visitors from all over the world. That's when that particular area of the Commonwealth was situated right in the Path of Totality.
WHAT IS THE PATH OF TOTALITY?
In April of 2024, Evansville, IN and surrounding areas got to experience the exact same thing. In fact, another amusement park- Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana- sat in the Path of Totality and they hosted a huge parking lot party to give folks the chance to witness a potentially once-in-a-lifetime event.

In August of 2045, Walt Disney World is expected to sit right in that path. Meteorologist Noah Bergen, who works in Orlando, shared this late yesterday. He's getting geared up for the big event and knows Disney fans are going to be flocking to Central Florida to experience the magic.
By the way, Noah's a great social media follow. I highly recommend.
With the news of the eclipse brewing, InsideTheMagic.Net posed this question- "What will a ticket to @WaltDisneyWorld cost on August 12th, 2045 when a six-minute solar eclipse crosses directly over the park?"
HOW MUCH DOES A DISNEY TICKET COST?
That's a really good question. So, here's my attempt at an answer. Look! There's ALWAYS demand for Disney tickets. Twenty years from now, that demand's going to be insane for the eclipse. Honestly, I have experienced the eclipse a couple of times now, but can't think of a better place on the planet to enjoy the one in 2045.
To guesstimate the cost of a Disney ticket twenty years from now, I suppose we can look back at ticket prices twenty years ago, back in 2005. According to AllEars.net, a single-day ticket then cost $59.75. In the last twenty years, that cost has doubled. Today, a single-day pass is $119.00. So, if that trend continues, the trend in which the ticket price doubles every twenty years, we could expect a ticket to cost roughly $240 on Total Eclipse Day in 2045! Hey, there's not a doubt in my mind that it will be worth it.
