Here’s When & Where Flavors of India Food Truck Will Open in Owensboro

My dreams are coming true. For the past ten years, I have been hoping and wishing for an Indian restaurant to open back up in Owensboro.

I Miss Basant

Some of you may remember Basant sadly closed in 2014. It wasn't too long after my son was born. I'll never forget how strongly I craved some chicken Tikka Masala when I was pregnant. Basant was my first meal after coming home from the hospital and it was heavenly.

New Owensboro Food Truck: Flavors of India

Indian food is so comforting. Warm, rich, and bursting with a variety of flavors. Let me tell you when I first saw the announcement on social media, I literally hollered "Yesssssssss" out loud. Owensboro's newest food truck is called Flavors of India and we are just around the corner from their grand opening date.

Flavors of India Menu Looks AMAZING

I have my regular favorite Indian restaurant orders, but I always love to try new things here and there. It looks like there will be lots of delicious options. Here's a sneak peek of the menu that was posted on their Facebook page.

When Will Flavors of India Open in Owensboro?

Prepare your taste buds and mark your calendars for February 20th. That is opening day! Flavors of India will then be open 10:30am-10:30pm Monday-Sunday.  I've seen mentions of a permanent location being the long term goal, so fingers crossed that happens! For the time being, you'll find the goodness at 2335 Frederica St. across from Walgreens.
