One must-visit spot is Smothers Park’s Lazy Dayz Playground in Downtown Owensboro. Ranked the #2 attraction by tourists on TripAdvisor, it was even named the top playground in the world by the Landscape Architects’ Network in 2015. Since its renovation and reopening in August 2012, it’s become the go-to place to beat the heat.
