A dance-inducing playlist from the Live DJ fills the air, and you can't help but have a good time. This year, food trucks will be set up so you can grab a bite while you hang out or between speakers scheduled for the day.

Owensboro Blue Bridge Pride 2026 Speakers

  • 12:30 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. Reverend Gator Lone Wolf will share his “Love Wins” story about being a plaintiff in the Supreme Court Case for Marriage Equality.
  • 1:15 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Dr. Bobbie Glass presents “The Bridge We Become. Through stories of healing, resilience, and belonging, Dr. Glass reflects on how communities grow stronger when we build bridges across fear, difference, and identity — and make room for everyone to belong." I've heard her speak before, and her message is very moving and important right now.

The Main Event: The Drag Show

Come and go as you please, you just want to make sure you are back in the fellowship hall for the main event! THE DRAG SHOW! I'm SO honored to be emcee-ing this year. I've attended the picnic for years, but this is the first time I will be on the mic. The real stars of the show are the entertainers who take over the room with their high energy and glamour galore.

Dance Like Everyone IS Watching

They are planning numbers that will make you laugh, cry, get up out of your folding chair, and dance like no one is watching. Except everyone *IS* watching, but I promise you won't care! Hopefully, you'll be getting your dollar bills out of your purse to tip! Drag ain't cheap, but it is oh so worth it. The legendary India Divine has gathered a variety of talented performers ready to put on a fabulous show!

Owensboro Blue Bridge Pride Prize Patrol

It is free to come to the event, but you should still sign up to attend by clicking here. Anyone who does will be entered to win some great prizes! Cookies from amazing local bakers, gift cards for amazing food from Fetta, Hillbilly BBQ, and even tattoo gift certificates. We tossed in a couple of tickets to Wynonna and Melissa Etheridge at the Beaver Dam Amphitheater as well!

I hope to see you there! The joy that radiates when this beautiful community gathers together is something I wish for all of Owensboro. Vice President and Community Liaison of Owensboro Blue Bridge Pride, Chrissy Bray Cotton, joined us this morning on the show! Listen here if you missed it:

My sweet friend and performer Aiden said it perfectly, "Speaking as someone who was born and raised in Owensboro, having Pride celebrations in our own town is really important. As someone who grew up with the belief that anything LGBTQIA+ related was wrong, it's heartwarming to see the number of people who truly do love and support the community in this town."

Everyone deserves to feel a sense of belonging in the place they call home. Supporting Pride means you truly believe in every American's right to the pursuit of happiness. More importantly, it is loving our neighbor in action. So let's have some fun and spread the love at the Owensboro Blue Bridge Pride Picnic!
