Western Kentucky is home to many amazing musicians and singer-songwriters. Often, you'll find them giving their time and talents to local events and raising money for non-profit organizations.

One of my favorite things about the WBKR Window World Radiothon has always been the special appearances and performances by local folks. It's fun to hear people you know on the radio advocating for such a worthy cause and sharing heartwarming and sometimes heart-wrenching music.

For years now, Eddie Maddux has poured his heart and soul into original music written especially for St. Jude Children's Hospital. He told us, "We just want to do our part to help the children, doctors, and researchers."

The Henderson native and long-time WBKR listener, made his 8th appearance on the radiothon this morning with another one of his original St. Jude songs. Brandon Nunn has been a part of the radiothon for 4 years. He plays his beautiful guitar and sings Eddie's inspirational lyrics.

This year, they had a VERY special guest. Former WBKR radio personality, Angel Welsh joined Brandon for "What If?" that makes us all think about "what if" there was no St. Jude? You know, when St. Jude first opened, the survival rate for childhood cancer was only 20%.  Now, that number has increased to 80% which is absolutely incredible, but there is still work to do. What if, we lived in a world where NO child dies from cancer? How amazing that would be.

That's why we won't stop. Because no child should die in the dawn of life. You can become a St. Jude Partner in Hope today by calling 1-800-201-8883 or text the word "hope" to 626262.
