There’s a Fun Dodgeball Tournament Coming to Owensboro, KY and You Can Play

The Center, an Owensboro, KY-based nonprofit, has announced plans for a big dodgeball tournament that's coming up Saturday, May 18th. As soon as I heard the news, I immediately started thinking about my favorite scenes and quotes from the movie Dodgeball.

This scene in particular, as teams prepare to compete in the Owensboro tournament, seems rather fitting. The quote below is the BEST!

The Center Slam will be held on campus at Kentucky Wesleyan College and registrations are currently open for teams wanting to compete for all the glory. Simply follow the QR code below.

I remember playing dodgeball back in elementary school. It was so much when we were kids, I can only imagine how fun it would be to play as an adult.

Here's a quick refresher (from the World Dodgeball Federation) on how to play!

The Center is currently recruiting teams of six to play. Players must be 18+. The cost to enter is just $125 per team. Team registration is also included in several available sponsorships- like a Court Sponsor ($500) and a Tent Sponsor ($500).

The Center Slam will be a double elimination tournament and there will be a 'Best Team Uniform' contest.

In addition to a fun day of dodgeball, there will also be food trucks!

The tournament will take place on the front lawn of Kentucky Wesleyan College in the heart of Owensboro and the public is invited to come watch and support the cause.
