Helicopters, Humvees, and Free Chicken: Chick-fil-A’s Touch a Truck Event Has It All
If your kids have ever wanted to 'touch a truck', they are about the get the opportunity. Chick-fil-A is hosting a huge Touch a Truck event at its Hwy 54 location in Owensboro. It's set for 4pm to 7pm, Tuesday, June 16th.
Pardon the pun, but participants are already "rolling" in. However, there's already quite an impressive lineup of 'trucks' to touch. Honestly, there's going be WAY more than trucks. Already confirmed for the event: a helicopter, firetruck, ambulance, tow truck, a semi truck, garbage truck, a military humvee, and the Owensboro Trolley.
That's right! If you've never gotten the chance to explore the trolley when it circles downtown Owensboro, you'll get the chance at Chick-fil-A. I've been on board a few times and it's always a blast. It sends me right back to Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. I used to watch that when I was a kid and the trolley was one of my favorite parts of the show.
I can also confirm the appearance of another truck! I will be there broadcasting live in the WBKR truck from 4pm to 6pm. In addition to covering the event on air, we'll be sharing some fun 'Touch a Truck' photos on the WBKR Facebook page.
But, heck! We can't talk about Chick-fil-A and not talk about the food. In addition to having the opportunity to see some really cool trucks and other modes of transportation, kids under twelve are going to have the opportunity to enjoy some delicious Chick-fil-A food for free. In fact, kids 12 and under eat for free with an adult purchase.
Again, the Touch a Truck event will take place directly behind Chick-fil-A's Highway 54 location in Owensboro. I hope to see you there!
